PAX Technology, the world’s leading manufacturer of point-of-sale terminal solutions, launches the M8 - the world’s first Android PayTablet with fully integrated SmartPOS payment processing engine. The M8 is the latest addition to PAX Technology’s innovative M-Series, which already comprises the Android PayPhone models M30 & M50.
Designed with high-end retailers and hospitality operators in mind, the M8’s handheld portability and large display mean that Android apps for food & beverage ordering, instore check-out, VAT refunds or loyalty, can all run in parallel with payment acceptance, providing customers and staff with a much improved user interface and experience.
A wide spectrum of advanced business productivity applications is available to download onto the M8, through the many PAXSTORE marketplaces used by payment service providers and their merchants all over the world.
The M8 runs on Android 11 and is powered by an Octa-core processor, which delivers the speed and reliability required to process multiple transactions. The sleek aluminum-encased widescreen design and dual cameras facilitate the creation of inventory catalogues with high-quality images, or the reading of QR codes and barcodes. Weighing just over 480 grams, the M8 is easy to carry for any person and comes with an inbuilt PCI 6.x certified PINPad that accepts transactions from multiple digital payment methods.
Cellular data and high-speed connectivity is supported thanks to 4G, WiFi 2.4GHz/5GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The M8 allows users to host or join video calls using advanced cameras and microphones for crystal clear communication.
